Black Sea crossings. Maritime networks from Hellenistic to Byzantines times

Following our first workshop on the Black Sea and its shores, organised by the Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul (SRII), le Musée du Louvre and the French Institute for Anatolian Studies (IFEA) last March, the 10th Archaeological Meeting of IFEA /Les 10e Rencontres d'archéologie de l'IFEA entitled Black Sea Crossings. Maritime Networks from Hellenistic to Byzantine Times aspires to extend our knowledge on the Black Sea and the networks at play in the region from the Ancient to the Medieval period.
The conference will be hosted at the ANAMED Auditorium and online on the 30th November and the 1st December 2023. This event is organised in partnership with the IFEA, the SRII, le Musée du Louvre, Bilkent University, the GABAM Institute of Koç University, the KUDAR Institute of Koç University and with the support of the ANAMED Institute of Koç University, the IPLI Foundation and the Laboratory for Rhetorical Studies.
